PIONEER is a Health Research Authority approved and Confidentiality Advisory Group supported research database and analytical environment.
Submitting a data request to PIONEER is straightforward – after reading our guide to completing the Data Request Form (DRF), fill in all the sections, upload any additional information, and click submit.
The data request form must be completed in its entirety, as it isn’t possible to save your application and return to it later. If you prefer, you can download the form as a Word document which can be submitted via emailing to pioneer@uhb.nhs.uk
Data access requests are reviewed by the PIONEER team and a public advisory body made up of patients and members of the public, known as the Data Trust Committee. The Data Trust Committee discuss proposals for data use and make recommendations based on what they feel is in the public’s best interest. Data access requests are only supported with the Data Trust Committee’s agreement, ensuring we have public support for the projects we deliver.
Data access is provided under licence.
